UNICEF is a globally known organization created on December 1946 by UN (United Nations), aiming to help children damaged by the post-war in Europe and China. Until today, protecting children's rights is still the main UNICEF priority. In Mozambique, work covers a wide range of social areas – we highlight education, hiv, nutrition, health and sanitation.
To cope with all fieldwork required, UNICEF Mozambique has a local office, multi-skilled teams and a sizeable fleet.
Being a non-profit organization, there is an ongoing need to control efficiency and effectiveness of operational initiatives. The answer to the below questions was essential:
Quatenus Fleet Edition, via GPRS tracking monitoring, answers to all these questions and was therefore selected to make part of UNICEF family in 2015.
It is possible to locate any given time people and vehicles, as well as past trips or stops. Additionally, email / sms notifications are triggered in the event of harsh brake or acceleration, excessive speed or travel on less recommended geographical areas. These operational indicators guide drivers towards more responsible behaviors. Together with safety attributes, such as remote electric cut-off when people, vehicle or cargo may be at risk, the use benefits of this product are clear.
With current position and route until delivery displayed in map on a single screen, it is easy to monitor and track cargo. Consequently, estimated time of cargo arrival on client premises and length of delivery are also easily measured.
Reports and dashboards with organized information display is turned available, facilitating the most adequate operational decision per specific situation. Some examples on the information we are talking about: fuel consumption per vehicle / driver, maintenance costs per vehicle type or effective labor hours per worker.
Implementation gains are already clear for Unicef Mozambique. According to Edson Neto, Unicef Fleet Manager:
With Quatenus we have tightened control on field activity, benefiting from increased staff safety and fleet overall performance.
Quatenus is proud to participate in this project and promise to persevere in the hard work to help building a better future for Mozambican children.
